Mapundial is a solidarity group and NGO founded to spread the knowledge and culture of the Mapuche-indians, the original habitants of the territory today known as Chile. We also realize human rights and benefit activities for and with Mapuche-organisations and communities to improve their rights. We pay special attention to the critical situation of the Mapuche community Juan Paillalef (see news & petition). The Mapuche are not constitutionally recognised as a people. As a reaction to this, various mapuche communities have united themselves in networks to defend their human and indigenous rights. Looking at the brutal repression of the Chilean state to these networks we think that solidarity from all parts is necessary. To read more about our goals :
